Will the L.A. Clippers make the 2011 NBA Playoffs?
Blake Griffin is hands down one of the most exciting players in the NBA today, if not the most exciting. Averaging monstrous double-double numbers for a rookie, he sure is a great basketball player, but, basketball is still a team, and Griffin belonging to the lowly Los Angeles Clippers, the question remains: Will the L.A. Clippers make the 2011 NBA Playoffs?
Point Guard: Baron Davis / Eric Bledsoe
Shooting Guard: Randy Foye / Rasual Butler
Small Forward: Ryan Gomes / Al-Farouq Aminu / Craig Smith (injured) / Brian Cook
Power Forward: Blake Griffin / Ike Diogu / Willie Warren
Center: DeAndre Jordan / Chris Kaman (injured)
With their lineup, the Los Angeles Clippers actually looks good and they look like they can contend for a playoff spot but inconsistencies from their bench and injuries may have (and will) hurt their chance on contending for playoff spot.
At the time of this write-up Los Angeles Clippers has a record of 18-28. That means they are more than halfway to the season. The Los Angeless Clippers started out really slow prompting fans and NBA followers to consider this season another losing season for the Clippers but the Clippers has had a couple of string of wins against some teams that had everybody's eyes glued to every Clippers game.
Lately, the Clippers has been playing one their best basketball for 2 years having their first winning month in January going 9-5 (beating top teams Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers in the process) since going 8-6 in November 2009. With 35 games remaining (as of January 31), there will be roughly 24 games against team on the top 8 seed of every conference. If they can continue to develop their game, avoid injuries and keep winning, everything should look good for Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers.
What do you think? Will the L.A. Clippers make the 2011 NBA Playoffs?
